The first game, Spaceship, is free forever. A subscription unlocks every other game and future games. Subscriptions are billed by Apple, renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and can be managed or cancelled in your Apple account settings. The annual plan starts with a 7-day free trial; you won't be charged if you cancel during the trial.
